Dongdok
House.
450 sqm. A bespoke residence bridging high-privacy needs with open, double-height volumes.
The Dongdok residence bridges the gap between high-privacy residential needs and the desire for open, light-filled volumes. From the road, the house presents calmly; from inside, it opens decisively into a sequence of double-height spaces that read more like a small institution than a domestic plan.
Modern Lao Homes managed the full structural build, including the cantilevered elements at the front and side elevations. International-standard concrete finishing and high-load structural steel were used throughout — minimalist aesthetic backed by institutional-grade durability.
The result handles privacy without walls, and scale without grandeur. The build-overview photographs show the structural skeleton that made it possible — hidden engineering behind a deceptively quiet finished house.
